Dear Tanglers!

many, many moons ago, Dutch Tangler Nyske (a.k.a. MoonOwl) suggested I use the two patterns Leaflet and Fluxogee for the Pattern-Mixer. Today I finally got around to trying them and they do indeed go well together! This is due to the fact that they are both based on a so called “ogee” grid – which looks a bit like honeycomb. It’s a bit tricky at first, but you do get the hang of it with a bit of practice. 

So! Let’s see what you can do! 🙂

is it really possible that it’s September already and I didn’t notice? Goodness, it looks like I completely lost track of time, what with all the coming-back-from-vacation and getting-the-kids-ready-for-school… So, this month’s Pattern Mixer is one day late. Hope you’ll forgive me! 😉

As promised, I picked two completely random patterns this month (I actually had my eyes closed), but it so happens that they go together quite well (at least in the variation I chose for my tile). I’ve never used either of them before, so it was a nice challenge for me, too. Have fun!

Dear Tanglers!

anyone else love flower patterns? Or organic patterns in general? I fell they tend to give any tile that extra bit of elegance. Lovely. Besides, it’s so much fun to let them grow (organically) on and on and into the next space. 
So today I’ve picked a beautiful flower pattern for you that I haven’t used in waaaay to long. Along with a pattern that really comes to life when you shade it. So grab your pencils and let’s go! 🙂
